Film Announcement: Lambda Incident

Today I announce that I am working on a machinima. This machinima has been taking alot of my time. I actually haven't scripted this because this is my first foray into machinima and I want to kind of learn the technical hurdles of such a project. Being that this is my first serious foray after attempting a San Andreas machinima a few years back has caused me to find better ways to attempt to do this. I actually found Valve Softwares Source Filmmaker to be my go-to program for this. My first couple scenes that I have technically complete are part of me attempting to learn how to use the program while progressing a narrative. This means that the technical proficiency of each scene will get better and better as I learn more about the program and how to efficiently and properly do things.

The film is actually something I have an interest in. This film is made by and with my love for the Half Life series. I love the story behind it so I have made it my goal to show my love for it by creating a short Source Filmmaker film about the original Half Life but with a twist. This film will feature hypothetical and non-canon events that happen inside the Black Mesa facility during the events of the first Half Life. It will not feature Gordon Freeman but a list of nameless characters who are simply within the facility and trying to get out. There's alot of work that is going into trying to get this film to see the light of day and I hope that it manages to get complete.

My plan is to premiere it at Machinima Expo 2015 if I can manage to have it in post-production before the deadline hits.

I'll be posting more information, screenshots, etc about the process of trying to learn Source Filmmaker.

Stay tuned.
